Bones Activity--Is Psychology a Science?
After watching the video clip from the TV show Bones in which Dr. Brennan argues that Dr. Sweets could not possibly understand the thoughts or actions of a criminal by using psychology (what she considers to be a fake science), do you agree or disagree with her sentiments about Psychology as a science of understanding how humans think and behave?
Use what you know from our past two units to help support your answer. Give at least 3 different reasons for your agreement with Dr. Brennan or your disagreement with her.
Make sure to respond to at least one classmate that disagrees with your point of view.

Welcome to our AP Psychology Blog!
This year we will be utilizing this blog in order to discuss different theories in psychology, documents pertaining to psychology and current events related to the field of psychology. There will be many controversial topics that we discuss here, so here are a few ground rules before we get started:
Rules:
1. There is NO WRONG ANSWER. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and interpretation of the events.
2. Even though there is no wrong answer–don’t just throw goofy ideas in to make your classmates laugh. Take this seriously as your participation in these discussions are assignments and are worth points!
3. All posts must be school appropriate. If you are not following the district Acceptable Use Policy, than you will face consequences.
To get us started off, we will start with a class related discussion just to get the feel of the blog software.
Response topic:
What do you think was a major force that stopped Psychology from evolving for over 2,000 years? Analyze and explain using examples from class, your own research and your own interpretation of the history of psychology.
